Physicians

Blair Bergen, MD, FAOG, FACS

Board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Bergen is chairman of the OB/GYN Department at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center. He received his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, New Jersey Medical School, where he also completed his internship and residency. Dr. Bergen is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology as well as the American College of Surgeons. He is the chair of the Public Education/Awareness Subcommittee of the New Jersey Advisory Council on Black Infant Mortality. In 2006, Dr. Bergen received AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s prestigious Physician Performance Improvement Award.

Asuncion Ciceron, MD

Dr. Ciceron is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and a Fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. She received her medical degree from Cebu Institute of Medicine in the Philippines and completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Ciceron joins Pavilion OB/GYN after many years of serving women of all ages at her practice in Somers Point. In addition to English, Dr. Ciceron speaks Spanish and Phillipino.

Seva Milov, MD

Dr. Milov received his medical degree from the Astana State Medical Academy, Kazakhstan, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey. While at Newark Beth Israel, he received their Resident of the Year award as well as the “Resident for Special Excellence in Endoscopic Procedures” award from the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Certified in the use of the da Vinci® robot-assisted surgical system, Dr. Milov is a member of the American Association of Gynecological Laparoscopists and the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition to English, Dr. Milov speaks Russian, Hebrew and Spanish.

Nurses and Midwives

Jeanne M. Dadura, RN, CNM

Ms. Dadura received her nursing degree from Atlantic Community College and her Nurse Midwifery Certificate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). She has spent the past 16 years as a nurse midwife and the preceding eight years as a labor and delivery nurse. Ms. Dadura serves as a clinical preceptor for both the University of Pennsylvania OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Program and the UMDNJ Nurse Midwifery Program.

Angelia Kae Flipping, CNM-FA, MSN

Ms. Flipping has been a certified nurse midwife for 13 years. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Seton Hall University and a post-graduate certificate in nurse midwifery from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Ms. Flipping also earned a master’s degree in nursing from Samuel Merritt University in Oakland, California. She is fluent in both English and French.

Ms. George-Cook has been a certified nurse-midwife for 18 years, having received her Nurse Midwifery Certificate from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1991.

Suheil “Susie” Guzman, RN, MSN, APN, C

Prior to becoming an advanced practice nurse ( APN), Ms. Guzman served for several years as a postpartum and NICU (neonatal intensive care unit) nurse. She received a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Rutgers University, a master’s in nursing from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and also completed the OB/GYN Nurse Practitioner Program at Planned Parenthood Federation of America in Philadelphia. She belongs to the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric, and Neonatal Nursing (AWHONN), the New Jersey State Nurses Association (NJSNA), the National Association of Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health (NPWH), and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Ms. Guzman is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Rose M. Scaffidi, RN, MSN, CNM

Ms. Scaffidi has spent almost 30 years as a nurse in the field of obstetrics, first as a labor and delivery nurse and then as a nurse midwife. She earned both her master’s degree in nursing and a Nurse Midwifery Certificate from University of Pennsylvania.

Jasmine Perez, CNM, WHNP-BC, MSN

JasminePerez

Ms. Perez obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing in 2008. She sub matriculated into the Midwifery and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner program and obtained her Master of Science in Nursing in December 2010. Jasmine is a Certified Nurse Midwife and a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

Claire Smart, DNP, MSNM, CNM

ClaireSmart

Dr. Smart was born in Trinidad and educated in the United States. She moved from New York City to South Jersey after September 11th, 2001 and practiced midwifery in Vineland. She has 19 years of nursing and 12 years of nurse-midwifery experience. Dr. Smart earned her doctoral degree from UMDNJ School of Nursing in nursing practice. She is a clinical professor in the baccalaureate and masters programs on the Stratford campus of UMDNJ. She is certified in electronic fetal monitoring, advanced cardiovascular life support, and advanced life savings in obstetrics. Dr. Smart enjoys her life work, serving women throught the life span.
